The Procrastinators Book Club
Leave it to me to be a part of this erratic book club of procrastinators, composed of close and new friends. Even though it took us 3 months to finally meet up to discuss The Girl on the Train, we are making better progress with Trevor Noah's, Born a Crime. We are getting better at meeting up, we really are!
I haven't yet seen the movie for Girl on the Train. I wanted to read the book first to compare, but hadn't heard of the book before the movie. Don't worry, I am not trying to sound pretentious!
Currently reading:
-Born a Crime by Trevor Noah -
On my wish list:
- Geek Love: A Novel by Katherine Dunn
- Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick, Roger Zelazny
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
I also just purchased Our Numbered Days by Neil Hilborn on my Kindle, pictured below. Love reading this fantastic book of poetry in the evening.
You may know Neil Hilborn from the viral poetry video about love, and OCD. Which is something that many, including myself, can relate. When I first saw the video below, I went straight to my kindle to buy his book. So worth it, for anyone to read, even if you do not suffer from mental illness. Oh when I read that poem, my heart sinks.
